THE BUZZ…

ROZ COLEMAN | American Actress and Coach

"Amanda...You have taught me so much about how to care for the soul of the artist. You are advanced...You know what you're doing...Whoever is out there who needs a really strong, centered actress who can really deliver the heart of a performance, they should definitely hire you."

LYDIA FIORE | ACTOR/FILMMAKER

Amanda, you are a force. STILL, BIRTH. was so moving I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. You inspire me, woman! So grateful to finally witness your gorgeous raw power on stage.

ROBYNE PARRISH | Actor/Director

No one holds the inner life of a broken and grieving character like Amanda Brooke Lerner in GOOD GRIEF. No one is braver.

JEANINE BARTEL | Actress

This beauty took command of the stage tonight in a most stunning, funny, emotional  and most devastatingly moving performance in GOOD GRIEF.

LOYD WILLIAMSON | CREATOR OF THE WILLIAMSON TECHNIQUE

Amanda Brooke Lerner is remarkable. Fine Work. GOOD GREIF is an important work in the theatre, a must see.

OC MOVIE REVIEWS | CURT WISER ON KILL AL

Verleny and Lerner perfectly embody the cold demeanor of these androids who have a tinge of humanity under the surface.

JUSTIN TOURINTINO WILSON | EVERYBODY LOVES DICK

Yesterday was.... incredible. Everyone really knocked it out of the park and brought so much more to every character than I ever dreamt possible. And you were nothing short of amazing. That voice. Where did that voice come from?!!

Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you thank you thank you for coming, shining so bright, sharing your craft, your amazing, amazing talent and for being you!

MICHAEL J BURG | Actor/Producer

"Your performance in AWESOME F_CK is so very good! Just TERRIFIC. Everyone is great in the film - but yours stands out to me as really special. You were so committed to the work and totally got what we were going for and how you fit into the story.  Again - you are fantastic  in the movie and I think it will be very good for you - once it is seen. It is a riveting movie."

SAMUEL HARWOOD

JUST LISTEN would not have come to life without you. My gratitude to you in incalculable and irreplaceable.

MIGUEL MATIAS | Producer

Hello talented & beautiful Amanda, Thank you so much for everything. It was a great to have a first row seat to see you perform in I’M ALL SET. I can’t wait for season two. Keep me updated.

Hartford Courant | THE LAST INTERVENTION

Amanda Brooke Lerner is hilarious as the wacked-out "interventionist", who has a history of our of control antics.

HAREN D.D. YONG | ACTRESS OBSESSION

Amanda once praised me as big-hearted, magnanimous and bountiful which are actually those very traits that Amanda herself is endowed with. Her versatility that rouses our emotions showcases her dynamism as an actress which has seen Amanda gained effusive recognition for her immaculate work across many entertainment channels."

Giovanny Blanco | Director | THE LAST INTERVENTION

Very few actors have the ability to take in pages and pages of dialogue in a few hours or less and make it their own while not changing a single written word. Amanda is one of these actors. Her professionalism, selflessness and dedication was an inspiration for the cast and crew. Amanda was down for anything and she always delivers. Always. I will not only work with her again but if I can, I will write (or make sure that someone else writes) something especially for her. In all the scenes we shot with her I only said three words to her. That was all she needed. Those words, “Thank you, lady.”

Yes, I love her. You will too.

Hans Gruenert, Co-Artistic Director, OFF THE WALL THEATRE

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds at the Gilbert Theatre. Beautifully directed and what a great choice to cast Amanda Brooke Lerner. Her performance as Beatrice Hundsdorfer was brilliant. You created magic. Brava!

THE PITTSBURGH STAGE MAGAZINE | The Small Room at the Top of the Stairs

Amanda Brooke Lerner played Anne, doing a wonderful job portraying the strong, jaded older sister. Just by looking at her I could have guessed what she was all about. Lerner does well in expressing her loathing for her sister, while still being genuinely worried for her safety, even if she is just hoping to be able to say “I told you so.” The acting was outstanding...There were times I was quite literally on the edge of my seat with suspense and feeling truly terrified of what was to come.

Richard Drew | Director | DEADLY REUNION

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work yesterday on our pilor presentation for LIFETIME TV. We LOVED having you on board and thought you were a total professional! And beyond that you're also SO talented - the whole team was really impressed by you! We'd love to have you back for more Savannah projects in the future - so if a suitable role comes up, we'll definitely be in touch!

Robyne Parrish |  Director | A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Amanda defines the actor with the three most important components of character: Commitment, Perseverance and Excellence. Because of her unfailing faith in her craft and calling, Amanda is the kind of actor who is able to live in a character in ways that many are simply incapable of tapping into. Her insatiable desire to create at the highest level possible allows her to take the leap of faith that is crucial to the artist.

Olivia Bosek | Actress

Amanda seems to have the innate ability to embody a character’s dark and light side at once – performing with a passionate sense of purpose, but with an explicit representation of what’s going on inside the mind of the character....most often with humor AND substance.

Derek Simon | Director | MEET THE MAKERS

I wrote an admittedly bizarre short film. Casting was difficult and then Amanda came along - and blew the room up! On camera, she was picture-perfect and took direction well, though it was rare she needed to be directed too deeply because she understood the character and what the film was going for. Off camera she had a great attitude, worked well with the rest of the cast, and had great patience and enthusiasm. When another project comes along with a part that fits Amanda, I know there won't be any need to hold auditions.

Joshua Mayes | Director | ROOFTOPS

I watched the Dailies from Thursday - you did beautifullyThe character is there - solid and developed. Thanks for your work and professionalism. Excited for the next shoot!

Haren D.D. Yong |  Actress Obsession

Amanda once praised me as big-hearted, magnanimous and bountiful which are actually those very traits that Amanda herself is endowed with. Her versatility that rouses our emotions showcases her dynamism as an actress which has seen Amanda gained effusive recognition for her immaculate work across many entertainment channels.

JACK MULCAHY | American Actor | The Brother's McMullen, Sex and the City, Porky's

In describing Amanda Brooke Lerner as an actor, one can only use superlatives. As a person...the same. Working with her directly, and coaching her as well, has given me unique access to this wonderful gifted thespian. We each have our own processes ~ Amanda's is one of perseverance, understanding and executing the task at hand to the fullest. The greatest endorsement I could ever give her is that the creative community is better served with her in it, and I can't wait to work with Amanda again. She's a joy to behold.

ANTHONY ROBERT GRASSO | Actor/Director/Teacher

You’re work in GOOD GRIEF is stellar. Broadway worthy. You were seriously magnificent. Perfect role for your instrument. Vulnerable. Strong. Haunted. Flippant and full of grace. I could go on. This was a bridge to all the hard work paying off. Just wow! Intense, Emotional, Funny. You tore it up. You’re work in this was raw. Nuanced and beautiful.

PAGE C. ANDERSON | FILMMAKER

DREAM ACTRESS

Amanda Brooke Lerner is what you always hope will walk through your audition room door but rarely does. A friend who would be the director of my Web Series, The Real Page Turner, recommended her for one of the roles. We auditioned a large number of candidates yet no one was right for this quirky character. I was breaking into a cold sweat when this vibrant magic actress filled the room with her penetrating eyes and slight grin, as if she knew a great secret that I didn’t. I was immediately intrigued.

She jumped into a scene with actors already cast and frankly stole my heart. She was the part! She dressed the part,  talked the part, and walked the part.  Amanda made the room break out into laughter several times, that day. Actually, they were belly laughs. At my directors request, she ran through the scene three times. Each was so different and all were clear, honest choices. They all worked, too! As the writer and executive producer, she got my mind going and the part actually changed because of her brilliant audition. She left the room and I recall saying, “who the hell was that woman? My assistant said, ‘Amanda Brook Lerner’. I put her picture into the YES, YES ,YES pile. The part was hers when she entered the room. She solved my problem.

She was so strong in the role, on film. A dream actress to work with. Prepared and accurate in her movements. No tricky edits around her scenes at all. I will be taking this woman with me, wherever my career takes me. Amanda makes me look good as a director/filmmaker. Now I know what her "great secret" was. She knew she was getting the part. Confidence rules the room.

PITTSBURGH CITY PAPER | The Small Room at the Top of the Stairs

When the talk's this captivating there's little cause for complaint, especially when that talk is talked so brilliantly by this intensely talented castall the performers bloomstand-out performance by Amanda Brooke Lerner.

EMILY COFFIN | Director/Writer/Actress - DAFFODIL

At the very last minute, I had to recast the other, main role, opposite my role. In a frantic frenzy of 24 hours, I found and auditioned several really, really, REALLY talented women, all of whom I can only describe as 'heavy hitters' as actors. I found the lovely Amanda Brooke Lerner, whose work speaks for itself, even in this brief 30 seconds (and trust me, while she doesn't say much here, the bulk of the dialogue is hers). She had 1.5 days to prepare and blew it out of the water. I cannot say enough about how talented and dedicated she is.

MOVIE REVIEW by Henry Chamberlain | MAC & CHEESE

Grab-you-by-the-throat intense but not without its sense of style. The roles of sadist and victim fall to mother and daughter and roll right through at a fever pitch to the very end in this little gem...The Mom, played to the hilt by Amanda Brooke Lerner, is a classic monster.

WATURBURY REPUBLICAN-AMERICAN | Centennial Casting

Fun Cast in Sterling Play: Seven Angels’ “Centennial Casting” is a laugh-a-minute comedy that will lift just about anyone out of the winter blahs. Here’s a show with a full Equity professional cast that features outstanding and memorable performances. It’s simply impossible not to laugh out loud at the antics that some of these characters pull off. Amanda Brook Lerner as Michelle, takes on the role of a tough gal with a soft heart. She too, nails her character.

Bruce Ornstein | Director | THREE-WAY DISNEY

Her work on Carla (a Tranny Prostitute) was enormously creative, deeply moving, and magnificently creative.

Donari Braxton | Director | HITEC!

Amanda's a true enthusiasta fearlessly hard worker, and a dedicated proponent of thoughtful, artistic preparation. On set, she's all ideas. And finds the right ones on screen.

J. Allen Suddeth | Director | ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

On set, she was over-prepared, engaged, truthful, relaxed and professional throughout the shoot. She can "role with the punches" and takes camera direction well, and she played both the serious scenes and the humorous ones with gusto and detail. To her credit, she illuminated difficult, academic dialogue, made it her own and was word perfect. Amanda is a serious player.

Eileen Deutsch | Playwright | TAKE ME YOU FOOL

You bring so much life and humor to Lainie Rothstein. I can't imagine this play without you in it.  I'm so happy to have found you. Amanda You absolutely SHINE!

Deb Jackel | Teacher | BILL ESPER STUDIO

Your reel shows that you're equally skilled at comedy and drama - which is rare! It alsoshows that you make really bold choices and are very unique. You also look great! I hope I get to work with you someday - you are so brilliant.

Fayetteville Observer | A Streetcar Named Desire

Strong acting for Streetcar's explosive lead parts...Lerner and Daftstios created believable, volatile chemistry.

Sophie Finkelstein | Producer | THE HOUSE ON COX CURVE

I am so pleased that we asked you to audition for Sunshine when you came in to read for Melissa! Who could have imagined it would turn out like this? I think we may just have a truly great movie on our hands and it is in part thanks to your incredible performance. You were a dream come true and I can't thank you enough for your hard work and dedication.

David Tabatsky, | Director | THE INTELLIGENT DIVORCE

Amanda is a gift for any director. She is totally professional, meaning she complements other actors, follows direction easily, and has a mind and heart of her own she shares so generously.

Eamon O'Rourke | Director | THE HOUSE ON COX CURVE

The cut of our amazing little movie is incredible, YOU are incredible. This was a role you were born to conquer. I bow at your power.

Claire Neumann | Actress

Amanda is a comedic genius with a wise, loving, and humble soul. I have been in awe of her constant positivity and ability to channel her strength through intelligent, dark stillness or Chris Farley-esque slapstick brilliance. She can do anything. I can’t wait to see her continue to fly. The world needs to see this woman.

ACTRESS OBSESSION: A Must-Watch Actress at Long Island Film Festival

Amanda Brooke Lerner is already a big winner at this year’s Long Island Film Expo having garnered the Best Actress Award for her stirringly layered work on the bi-polar disorder themed short “The Cartographer”.

The emotional nuances that are often the driver of a moving story are knitted captivatingly by Amanda as she embodies the struggles of her character Hope, a mother who tries her best to cope with her son’s mental illness.

On stage, she’s been lauded as a powerful storyteller and onscreen most notably in independent cinema, she’s the captivating centre at the heart of the diverse women she’s essayed which should win her even more accolades.
